Credit Karma, the leading personal finance technology company in North America, today announced it has appointed Gannesh Bharadhwaj as general manager of credit cards. Previously president of Renew Financial, Bharadhwaj brings a strong background in financial institutions as Credit Karma remains focused on using innovative technology to bridge the gap between banks and consumers. As general manager of credit cards, Bharadhwaj joins Credit Karma’s executive team and will keep the company laser-focused on continuing to retain and grow the prime member base. Bharadhwaj will also expand the number of credit card offers available to the more than 75 million Credit Karma members by adding new banking partners and broadening the company’s credit cards marketplace. “Credit Karma is in a unique position as both a key partner to the leading financial institutions in the U.S. and a trusted platform for our more than 75 million members. Adding someone with a background like Gannesh’s allows us to continue to scale our credit card offers to deliver as many options for our members as possible,” said Credit Karma Founder and CEO Kenneth Lin.Bharadhwaj brings more than 20 years of financial services experience, with his most recent tenure as president of Renew Financial. Prior to that, he held numerous roles at HSBC including managing director and executive vice president of co-brand cards and other positions in retail banking and wealth management in Asia.“Ensuring we provide as many credit card choices as possible is crucial in attracting the all-important prime members to Credit Karma. Bharadhwaj is an alumnus of the Birla Institute of Technology and Science. He holds a M.S. in mechanical engineering from the University of South Florida and a MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
