What we are looking for:

  • 15+ years of experience in a highly quantitative role, turning data into business insights with 5+ years in an executive role leading a large Analytics Organization.
  • Prior experience effectively managing, scaling, motivating and developing a strong team in a dynamic and highly matrixed organization.
  • Experience leading business and technology transformation, strategic planning, and driving implementation of transformative vision.
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate complex analytical insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Track record of successful leadership to drive results and proactively manage change in a complex and dynamic organizational, technological, and operating environment.

About the team and the role

Credit Karma’s Platform Engineering Team is looking for a Staff Technical Vendor Manager. 

The Staff Technical Vendor Manager is part of the Engineering Procurement team and is responsible for negotiating and managing technology vendor relationships including vendor contracts, performance, risks and financials.  This individual will have 10+ years of experience and have been a people manager.  The role requires a broad knowledge of technology licensing and services as well as cloud services.  This individual will be an expert negotiator capable of addressing challenges from conflict management through billing disputes. 

What you’ll do:

 The Staff Technical Vendor Manager will manage the entire procurement lifecycle from sourcing to onboarding and execution, through offboarding. 

  • Skills required are: 
    • Assessing Needs
      • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand the specific technological needs of the organization

Minimum Basic Requirement:

  • Must have management experience and been a people manager

The TDO will play a critical role in upleveling our Incident Response and Problem Management capabilities. As a Staff Product Security Engineer, you will join the Product Security team at Credit Karma and play a critical role in designing and influencing the technical strategy of Credit Karma’s Product Security Team.   • Directly lead research projects end-to-end, including planning, design, analysis, communication, and application of generative, formative, and post-launch evaluative research

As our Staff Architect for Developer Efficiency, you will join the senior architecture team at Credit Karma and lead a technology roadmap that matures our internal tooling capabilities, working across engineering and different domains such as AI, Data Engineering, Services and Frontend to drive roadmaps across Developer Efficiency teams.  

Within this role, you will collaborate across all engineering teams and product development organizations, and be a trusted advisor to senior and executive leadership. 

What you’ll do:

  • Drive a holistic technical strategy for building AI powered experiences, automation and capabilities – across a number of interdependent engineering teams, architects, systems and offerings.
  • Influence and shape the frameworks, abstractions, and patterns used by product development teams to expand our internal tooling and improve efficiency.
  • Guide the applicability of AI to developer problems through a deep understanding of the value and limitations of AI technologies
  • Be the technical expert, researching, evaluating, and implementing state-of-the-art technology to improve our developer experiences (open source, third party)
  • Apply strong technical documentation and presentation skills to communicate architectural and design options at all levels, including to executive leadership.
  • Grow a strong engineering culture – set and evangelize vision, facilitative leadership, attract and retain key talent. Talent steward for the engineering organization, mentor rising leaders

Minimum Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience designing complex distributed systems, management products, or business applications
  • Excellent communication skills: demonstrated ability to present to all levels of leadership, including executives
  • Full-stack development experience with AI technologies and tools; applying it to developer experiences or backend solutions.
  • Establish Developer Best Practices: Develop, maintain, and enforce architecture standards, best practices, and design patterns to ensure consistency and quality across development capabilities.
  • Experience with at least one of the following: Front-end Technologies (React, SwiftUI, Kotlin), Back-end Technologies (Java, TypeScript, Python, Go) or Data Technologies (AirFlow, DataFlow, BigQuery)
  • Prior working experience in a cloud computing environment like AWS or GCP is highly desired

Preferred Qualifications

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or related area, or equivalent experience in driving business and technology strategies and multi-year roadmaps with an execution scope of 50-100+ engineers.
  • Experience with additional programming languages like TypeScript, Go, Scala and Python
  • Self-driven with a proven track record to learn a new engineering space, identify opportunities to improve efficiency and present to leadership.

The Social Media Creative Director is responsible for driving and continuously elevating the overall creative expression of Credit Karma’s brand on social media, as well as guiding messaging and brand consistency across all of our exciting product areas and key initiatives. You will work closely with a team of senior creatives, social media strategists, and internal production team to craft high-performing, social-first marketing communications for multiple types of projects, primarily short form video, across multiple social platforms, focused on the Gen Z audience. We are looking for someone who has an intimate understanding of the creative and production process as a maker and a leader. The right candidate will have their finger on the pulse of culture and trends and how to create within that world to consistently produce breakthrough content at the speed of social. As a member of the Creative Marketing Team and reporting directly to our Group Creative Director, you’ll be part of a multidisciplinary group of strategic thinkers, storytellers, designers and brand professionals helping our 130+ million members make financial progress. 

What you’ll do:

  • Collaborate with a team of experienced creatives to translate strong ideas into social first executions 
  • Develop highly engaging content for multiple platforms, e.g. Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, and prioritize short-form video 
  • Inspire and share your knowledge and deep understanding of how to reach and engage a young 18-24 audience with the wider team
  • Leverage our brand style guidelines in unique ways, while ensuring creative work is on brief, on brand and has an intuitive user experience
  • Bring fresh and innovative ideas that help scale the business through brand consideration and product awareness 
  • Collaborate with social platform partners and agency partners alike to develop innovative, social first campaigns
  • Mentor, coach and inspire creative talent. Lead with empathy and inclusivity, and actively nurture career development for all team members.
  • Be a vocal and visible advocate for your diverse team, taking actions to ensure everyone is included and represented

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with consumer finance
  • Experience working in or leading a high-volume in-house studio
