Great beginners credit card!

I originally applied for this credit card (QuicksilverOne - not the "for good credit" one) back in September of 2019. I believe my score was around a 600. I was approved for a credit limit of $350. At the time, like most before my credit was all kinds of messed up so of course I liked that I was approved. I got the card in the mail within a week. Over time, I haven't been the best at paying it all the way off. So, my credit increases every 6 months haven't happened. I'd say over the past 2 years I've been financially stable FINALLY. Lol So, I made all my payments on time and paid it off before the due date. In fact, I would make double payments. This was great because they've increased my credit limit every 6 months! I haven't had to request any limits thus far. Currently my credit limit is $2,750 and that was given to me about 4 months ago. The limit prior to that was $1,250 I believe. My current credit scores are now 699 and 704! I've never had my scores go above a 680 so I'm definitely happy. I believe every bit of that was due to my double payments to this card. I don't have any personal loans and I'm always on time with my car payments yet that's only increased my credit score a couple of points every couple of weeks. I sure hope the next increase is massive because I now use the card religiously and pay it off within two weeks. At one point I had to contact customer service because someone fraudulently used my card so I reported it. They didn't ask too many questions and helped me out. They were professional and courteous. I highly recommend the card!

No automatic credit increase regardless credit

Be careful with the Capital One Quicksilver One card. I opened this account in October 2022 with a given credit line of 300. With a low credit line I can hold a zero balance every month. I applied for a credit increase on the seventh month thinking it was safe because I pay the balance off every month… nope, denied! Capital One sent me a letter stating my credit was to new with this card, but when applying they stat you are automatically considered for a higher credit line within six months. So I’m confused. On my other credit cards they are twice or three times as much and I’ve already received several increases within a year because I keep the balance very low or paid off. With an annual payment of $39 I’m so tempted to cancel this card. Not complaining, just confused!
