ON THE FENCE

I own this card now. I like the card... however card got locked and possibly even to my mistake.. not positive. The real issue is that I'm going on month 2 of it being locked after I have called a Couple times. When I get someone I feel like they would rather be on break than to help. Any other card I have the locke would be removed instantly or within 24 hours ish ... not going on a MONTH

They'll downgrade you and charge fees

At first (with fair credit) I was approved for Petal 2 with a $4500 limit. Had the card for a year, never missed a payment, even had a limit increase to $4700 after 5-6 months. A few weeks ago, I get a notice that I'm losing my Petal 2 card, and being issued a Petal 1 rise card that will now have a monthly fee added to it. I've never missed a payment, my credit score has risen slightly over the year, and I'm being penalized for it? Here's the kicker. I can opt out if I want to. Oh, NICE. Thank you Petal! If I choose to close my account instead of accepting the worse card and pay monthly fees, I can close my account and let my credit score fall due to a closed account, and credit age decrease to drop by score, and my credit card utilization % rise. All these will topple my credit score, a credit score I've worked hard to increase over the past year from fair to good. I assume more people will also leave negative reviews because they give a hard working person a lose-lose choice. Pay their fees, or risk a lower credit score. Pathetic!
